Breathe in the warmth in the air
Feel the happiness seeping in
Walk through a doorway with no door
Into a magical, liminal woodland
Where fern and lichen and moss enchant
And a forest ensnares the senses
As blackbirds sing and butterflies swoop
And a warm sun casts its golden shade
Through trees planted in greening glade
Lay down on a bed of soft pine needles
And sleep for a day, week or year
To wake refreshed and clear eyed
To hear that Summer now is here
