Crying at the Moon
I stood late last night
Staring up to the moon
The stars shone e’er so bright
Hard not to believe such a sight
Could grant any wish or boon
I stood late last night
I stood and watched that orb of white
And howled just like a loon
The stars shone e’er so bright
This world is in such awful plight
Sleep evaded, outside I commune
I stood late last night
Peace, I cried, should be everyone’s right
Not pain or suffering or misfortune
The stars shone e’er so bright
Breathless wonder, oh glorious light
To you I bow, beg and croon
I stood late last night
The stars shone e’er so bright
